This course explores how the human body functions in the disease state. Just as water droplets initiates a chain reaction sending ripples to the surrounding area, communication within the human body extends from the cell to the visible systems of the organism. Disease is the attack on this communication network, affecting cell, tissue, organ system, and multiple organ systems simultaneously.
